As part of my Aromatherapy Course I had to make rose water for this particular assessment I am doing. I have never made rose water before and I really don’t know why. It is so beautiful.
Ok, the ingredients are, 10 drops rose oil, 5 ml vodka or chemist alcohol, & 100 ml distilled water. You add all these together, put in a spritzer bottle and voila! Rose Water! I used it on our pillows, bed covers, curtains, I went into my teenage son’s room and squirted it around, much to his disgust and angst, and I think I will make another bottle for the toilet. It smells amazing and because we are using pure oil the fragrance is lingering. When using essential oils for anything you really need to make sure you are using 100% PURE essential oils and not the cheap ones from the grocery store or chemist. There is a reason they are cheap!
Use your new homemade rose water instead of store bought, chemical laden, air freshener, candles and those plug ins. Your rose water will work just as effectively if not better and you won’t be breathing in all those nasty chemicals.! It’s a win win!
